Best Feature of the Pentax K10D - TAv
By admin | June 2, 2007
I have to admit that I have not yet used the Pentax K10D, but in doing some research, I found that this little camera has a feature that I wish would be incorporated by other camera makers. It is the best feature of this digital SLR.
Shutter & Aperture Priority (TAv) is one of the exposure modes offered by the Pentax K10D. This is a simple way of taking advantage of a digital camera’s ability to vary ISO on the fly. TAv is great for more advanced photographers that want to have some control over the settings. You can set both the shutter speed and aperture and camera automatically sets the appropriate ISO for correct exposure.
I don’t know why digital SLR makers don’t take advantage of the ability to change ISO on the fly. I hope that the Canon 40D can bring something like this to their new model.
